Join Our Team at the Wonders of Wynyard!
The Wonders of Wynyard thrives on the enthusiasm and dedication of our volunteers, who help create a warm and welcoming experience for visitors. Whether you’re looking to commit to a regular shift or prefer a more flexible schedule, we’d love to have you on board. Shifts are available in the morning or afternoon (4 hours each), or you can volunteer for a full day. There’s no minimum commitment—any time you can give is greatly appreciated! Full training is provided.
We currently have two exciting volunteer roles available:
Customer Service Officer
Be the friendly face that greets our visitors! As a Customer Service Officer, you’ll provide helpful information on local attractions, accommodation, dining options, and travel tips. Volunteers assist with brochure selection, itinerary suggestions, and general visitor inquiries, ensuring each guest enjoys a memorable experience in our region.
Veteran Car Collection Volunteer
Step back in time and help showcase our incredible collection of veteran cars! Volunteers in the museum welcome visitors, share fascinating insights about the collection, and help maintain the exhibits to a high standard. Tasks include polishing brass, keeping the vehicles and display areas pristine, maintaining air pressure in tyres, and ensuring the collection remains in top condition for everyone to enjoy.
