What an excellent place to visit not only the displays of the vintage cars but the staff were pleasant. The whole experience was extremely nice. A great surprise to see so many vintage cars, bikes and motorcycles. And a good supply of local goods Especially alcohol and other trinkets that you can buy from the areaPosted on Adrian & Helen TwittTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I, traveling in North Western Tasmania this month from Victoria, wish to say how delighted we were with many attributes of your Shire. But we want to express delight at our visit to Waratah. I suppose we were expecting to see a run down mining town. Instead we saw a town with tidy streets, clipped lawns, and a delightful setting with the waterfall spilling through the town centre. We visited the Atheneum, and were amazed at the wonderful display picturing the story of Waratah and its people. The attendant, a delightful and helpful Council representative was on duty. How nice was that? And across the street, the museum added to our visit. We would love to have been able to visit a coffee place or bakery, but maybe the demand isn't great enough. A stroll around Waratah was our main focus, and that was a delight..Posted on C VTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Overall Experience The Wonders of Wynyard Exhibition and Visitor Information Centre is an excellent stop for both information and local attractions. I stopped in to gather some local information and was warmly welcomed by very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Staff & Service Ellie and Colin were particularly helpful, taking the time to assist and provide guidance. Their professionalism and welcoming approach made the visit very pleasant. Exhibitions The centre features a beautiful exhibition of vintage cars, with adult entry priced at $11 and well worth it for anyone with an interest in automotive history. In addition, there is a lovely free exhibition showcasing works by various local artists, as well as an impressive collection of Japanese dolls that was generously donated to the centre. Facilities & Parking The facility is well presented and easy to navigate, with free parking available, making the visit convenient and stress-free. Overall Impression A well-curated centre with friendly staff, engaging exhibitions, and helpful local information. Highly recommended for visitors to the area.Posted on Peter ZentjensTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
